Clone A Willy Chocolate Kit

I was listening one fine commuting morning to a radio station and they had this crazy, dynamic woman on talking about Bacon Fest. So, up went the volume and between my laughing so hard about waking up with morning-after bacon, interest in Oregon Food Bank and drooling over a bacon eating contest, I had to google this woman. This is when I found PDX.FM.

I immediately emailed the ‘contact us’ email, offering to send products for a possible review or interview and to my delight, Sabrina of iPhoneSlutz and Portland Sucks responded with a yes, or maybe it was more of a “love (LOVE) to have you on the show.”

So, that’s the build up. It gets better. So much better.

Tanya, the Empire Labs Graphic Designer, and I show up to the studio at a bleary eyed 8:00 AM (hey, we’re not morning people!). We meet Robert Wagner, the co-host to Portland Sucks. I’m not sure what Robert and Sabrina were expecting when we showed up – I get a lot of odd looks when I tell people what I do for a living, but they were very gracious. I brought a box of Empire products for us to talk about including some of the odd things we have around the office that have been cloned with the Clone-A-Willy kit such as a foot, a hand and my fingers. I’m pleased to say there wasn’t a dull moment during the entire show.

But wait, there’s more.

The days go by and Tanya and I pass each other in the office, giggle a bit about the show and meanwhile I become an avid fan of pdx.fm, listening to the Portland Sucks show almost daily. A lovely surprise to me, about 2 weeks later, Robert Wagner actually cloned his willy on air! I can’t tell you both how funny this is AND how much it’s helped me help Empire customers….have a question? Listen to this! There’s even a later episode when Robert makes the chocolate version of his willy and they eat it on air.

Only in Portland, people, only in Portland.
