The CLONE-A-WILLY Story

Empire Labs began producing specialized molding and casting materials in San Francisco back in 1996. Empire manufactured state-of-the-art, highly customized materials intended for medical and prosthetic purposes. Methods and materials utilized by Empire were unique, and their reputation grew as creators of safe, high quality, simple to use molding and casting compounds.

It didn’t take long for Hollywood to find a use for Empire’s materials in films. Many horror flicks and special effect scenes have utilized Empire Lab's materials. Incredibly life-like props and highly detailed body part castings could be easily and inexpensively produced. In 1997 a production company requested some realistic penis replicas of varying size and shape for an independent film. With a few small tweaks, Empire turned their existing orthotic kit into a dildo kit, and the first Make Your Own Dildo kit was born. The kits were a big hit on set, so Empire created a retail version.

The Original Make Your Own Dildo kit provided a simple, safe, all inclusive method for creating an exact rubber duplicate of any penis. The quality was amazing, down to the most intricate detail, and the process was done entirely within the home and without the need for complicated mixing or heating.

In 2003 the smaller, lighter Clone-A-Willy kit was created to ease shipping and packaging costs. These new kits were an even bigger success than the original Make Your Own Dildo kits, although sales of both still continue to rise year after year. Clone-A-Willy has since become a key product for many adult industry retailers, and sales are into the multiple millions worldwide.

Currently Empire Labs boasts a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and shipping warehouse, and a multinational sales force to distribute its products across the globe. The hugely successful Clone-A-Willy Kit has been translated into many languages, and can be found in almost any novelty store across the globe.
